NHM with Zebedee

Zebedee and I went to the Whales : Beneath the Surface exhibition at the NHM today, it was really well put together and very interesting, lots of skeletons and a timeline of evolution, various body parts and also lots of movie clips and sound effects, a great moving diagram showing how Whales dive to incredible depths too.

We also went to look at the whale skeleton in the entrance hall, we both feel that the dinosaur that used to be there was better and can't really understand why it's been changed. I know what the reasons are but the Dinosaur had a wow factor that the whale skeleton does not somehow.

We went to Tooting for a follow up appointment to get a diagnosis (if any) to help with Zebedee's lack of concentration at college, fidgeting and repetitive behaviours, he has low level ADHD, I feel sad that we didn't get this information earlier but luckily he had a great head of year at school who put extra measures in place to make sure he got his GCSEs.
This means the college can get funding for extra help and make allowances for him to learn in a way that suits him, lots of breaks and more visual than written information for example.
He has always had difficulty at school, essentially he is very creative and has never easily fitted in with the rigidity of school learning.
He is pleased to have an answer but worried he will be viewed differently because of it by his peers. It is big news to take in.
