Sign of Bravery, Courage, Devastation and Hope.

Visiting Omaha Beach was a very humbling experience. The weather was bad so there was nobody about and in that quietness my mind drifted to the various war movies that have portrayed the D-Day landings and thoughts of the the thousands of men who gave their lives for the cause of freedom.

It's something to watch the scenes on the big screen but something else to stand where so many fell.
