took tom into town so he could go through the wooden boat museum and all, while I headed out to the lighthouse on foot via beaches and cliffs and hills and dale - love the gulls who have clearly taken up residence on this roof of the old keeper's home, in 1879 the actual light was there too, but has since been moved.  we have 4 more days.
