The Hospital of St Anne

Final photographs from Appleby-in-Westmorland before we set off on the final leg of our homeward journey.
This is the Hospital of St Anne, an almshouse founded in 1651 by Lady Anne Clifford to house needy widows.
The open door in the corner leads into a small chapel. The "extra" offering is one of the passages of scripture that are painted on the chapel walls. I'm no expert on 17th century spelling but I can but assume that dceended is a misspelling!
