King Alfred

He was the king of Wessex and Winchester was his capital. He successfully defended his kingdom against the Vikings. At the time of his death he was the dominant ruler in England. His statue proudly watches over the people of Winchester.

I've walked into town this afternoon as I had an appointment at the opticians and then j went to the hospital for a blood test. It poured with rain while I was out and I didn't have an umbrella. I've found another use for an IKEA bag as it kept me dry.

While I was out my gardener tidied the garden at the front. I don't recognise it.

And this evening I've been out to Miranda 1008's birthday dinner. It was lovely to see everyone.
