Am Faochagach

We left mid-morning to go up Am Faochagach near Beinn Dearg. We cycled up to Strathvaich Lodge, and then followed an all-terrain track up the south east ridge. It was a long way and very windy with a constant 60 km / hour westerly wind. However the sky was clear and the views as good as you get in the summer. The blip is a panorama from the top, with An Teallach on the mid left, Beinn Dearg, centre right, and Cona’Mheall on the right, and just sticking over the latter is Meall nan Ceapraichean. We saw more than 25 Golden Plover flying  and this seemed unusually. We returned the same way we went up and the bikes saved heaps of time on the way back. Another tick in the view seen list. The extra is the sunset over Ben Wyvis, from M & N’s where we returned for a grand evening.
