Pukeko with a stick

Near our son's house there's a main road which for some reason the pukekos love to be alongside - which isn't great for the birds as they get hit by cars. However a new wetland has been created by the road and hopefully the birds are going to nest in there which will maybe keep them and their chicks safe.
