The Old Mill Wheel

It has been a blustery day with some heavy clouds and occasional sunshine. I managed to choose a sunny period to go out and do the shopping this afternoon.

There was a flax mill in Stokesley which was demolished quite some time ago but this wheel was restored by members of the Stokesley Society.  Where the wheel now stamnds is thought to represent the site of a mill recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086.
