Birthday Party

Today is Tom's birthday, he is 24. I came across this picture from his first birthday party, we had a tradition in those days of having a family party in the garden every year, it was always sunny, today we saw Tom for half an hour or so after the Villa match, though we have a date for coffee with him tomorrow.

Reminiscing I realised that I was 24 when I was first married, and had my first child, Peter; I don't expect the same from Tom, after all I'd left home and was living in London by then (1973).
