Wild Turkey Family (9 in all!)

This morning we saw this mom (I assume) and her brood of eight from the kitchen.  I went outside to get a bit closer as they slowly crossed the wide hayfield--quite a sight.  The line "Nine turkeys in a hayfield" might fit in that December holiday song I'm sure many of you know.  After breakfast we  to the Saturday market in Tamworth--always a pleasant event during our visits. We were told that the rabbit in the extra has been attending the market since he was a few days old. We were invited to dinner with Beth and Jim, joining her sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and David, whom we hadn't seen in years.  I put on a short show of bird images which were well received. A lovely evening.
