Standing Guard

I like the contrast of today's spring image against yesterday's winter ones.

The poor lambs seem to be being born so early each year!

Sebastian, his Mum and Dad, and I all went out to a local cafe for an early lunch and then they headed home.  I took a different loop towards my home, hoping for frolicking lambs.  Sadly I didn't find any frolics but I did capture this wee one who felt he had to protect his mate from the big bad camera.

It has been so wet that the paddocks are just mud under the grass - an explanation for his muddy knees and face.
