The Street Where You Eat

This street is known colloquially as "die Freßgass'".  It's right next to the area with all the banks and it's full of restaurants (and said restaurants are full of bankers during the week).

The verb "fressen" * means to guzzle or to eat like a pig.  "Eine Gasse" is just another word for a street or an alley.

Sunday was a sweet day.  Mainly because there was no work involved.  I've set  my sights on Friday morning, 11 a.m. as the end of this working week.

I am so looking forward to 2 weeks off.

*It has the "ß" because it was always known as this and takes no heed of orthographic reforms
