Mono Monday . . . Water # On The Street

Mothers guiding hand
Interactive fountains
Fascinate all ages

This scene is in my town centre which is called Sundial Square.  The water feature represents the seven natural aquifers in the Tasman District.  It is interactive and a pleasant spot to stop and watch how people like to play with the water.  This wee one was being guided towards the library but he stopped while his mother helped him count the number of fountains.
Behind them is Queens Street our main street.  It is in the process of a major upgrade.  The have put up the long board fence to separate the public from the workers and machinery.  There is one window and you can see part of a digger framed by it.  There was major flooding in 2011 and 2013 and increasing the capacity of the storm water pipes in being done as well as replacing aging water and waste water pipes.  So I'm making a link to the street you cannot see so I can still be in the August photo challenge.
