Sgwarnog: In the Field

Gathering

The swallows and martins are showing signs of gathering for their trip south; these were part of a larger group near Faweather today.

I had a quiet day in readiness for the next four with the kids; just an extended walk on the moor to occupy myself. The heather is still looking fine, and I stopped to admire the hoverflies. There weren't many butterflies about but I did see the odd Peacock, Small Copper, Red Admiral, Speckled Wood and White.
