Unrequited love.

Set out early and took a train from Bologna to Garda where we spent the morning, and part of the afternoon, mooching by the lake, admiring the wonderful scenery. The backdrop of The Dolomites made me realise there's another part of Italy that needs exploring.

Another train took us to Verona. Visited the Arena (third largest in the world and wonderfully preserved) and wandered through the streets up to the market place and then to the famous balcony from Romeo and Juliet. In the archway leading to the courtyard thousands of proclamations of love had been posted, many of them on plasters.
