Party In The rain!

I spent a very pleasant few hours at The Readers husbands 50th! Due to the awful weather instead of a picnic on the village green it was a party at their house, and since they moved into the house one up from me it was very convenient! They had hung tarpaulins over the garden so people could sit outside - I didn't but this lot did! I watched from the kitchen as the wind blew, the tarpaulin lifted and the collected raindrops poured into the enclosure!
Had a lovely catch up with Homeopathic girl and her husband who had returned from 6 weeks backpacking in Cambodia and Vietnam. Both beautiful countries with friendly people and masses of Chinese holiday makers! They said how easy backpacking has become when you have a mobile phone - everything could be booked ahead following recommendations online and that gave more time for seeing the countries! Particularly with Uber making it so easy to get to hotels, A&b, railway stations etc!
I came home very full and nicely relaxed after drinking in the afternoon and pleasant company.  Time for a rest before going up to do the hens - perfect Sunday in spite of the weather!
