A wandering mind

As I stitched more hexagons together in a colour wash arrangement today, I was listening to a beautiful Scottish voice read me one of Alexander McCall Smith's Isobel Dalhousie tales which brought to mind my dear late step-mother whose mother, Mary Murray Lornie  and father , James Seath were from Kirkaldie in the kingdom of Fife. My step-mother Cath East(nee Seath) painted this image of our South Island after lessons from her niece and namesake , Catherine Noton(nee Seath) and gave it to us 21 years ago.
It hangs on the wall of the stitching cave.
