Shere

I took myself over to Shere, one of my favourite villages. To get there I had to drive through narrow lanes across the North Downs, mostly deep in beech woods.
Shere is full of old cottages lovingly cared for. Inevitably it is popular with visitors, so there are some lovely gift shops which are fun to browse. (See extra) My blip shows the main road through the village, looking back towards the North Downs.
Whilst in a gift shop I bought a card for George to congratulate him on his GCSE results. I was confident he would do well, and when I got home I had the news that he had done brilliantly, including a 9 for maths. 9 under the new system is the top grade and only 3% of pupils in the country achieved this! We are so proud of him.
