Cheeky little sideways glance

Based on a memory of Donald, the father in law. We were in the car he was driving and there was a pretty girl waking along the street. I have no doubt that if he was on his own, he would have turned his head and given her an admiring glance but he can't do that as I'm sitting next to him so he swivels his eyes without moving his head hoping that I wouldn't notice. I did of course, it's hard to ignore a human chameleon driving a car in which you are a passenger.
