Fairies and dragons.

Today the boys and I met up with friends at the local garden centre where they have a fairy and dragon grotto display during the summer holidays (it seems a fairly inventive way to use a lot of the Christmas decorations during the summer to bring in more visitors!). It was quite enjoyable with the children spotting all the fairies, elves,, baby dragons, unicorns and other mythical creatures, and kept them entertained for a little while.
Then back to reality with the food shop this afternoon before an Osteo appointment for me and exercise class.
Once home from the exercise class, Neil said he'd found a fledgling pigeon on the front lawn with 2 cats ready to pounce. He tried to return the little bird to the nest but Mummy pigeon was having none of it, so I came home to a box in our hallway containing the little bird. It's too small to fly with just a dusting of grey fluff, so having rung a few friends for advice, we placed the box with the fledgling in, in the tree near the nest and are hoping for the best. We didn't handle him directly so fingers crossed he doesn't smell of human.
