Maas Tower

The Maas Tower (Maastoren) is 161.2 meters high tower in Rotterdam which makes it the tallest building in Benelux. The tower has a special durable heating and cooling system which reduces the building's CO2 footprint. The system uses water from the river Maas and energy storage in the soil. The river water is also used for the sprinkler system. Techniplan Adviseurs from Rotterdam, won a "De vernufteling" (Netherland's most prestigious engineering) prize for the system's design.
