dahlia

Another of my dahlias grown from seed. I planted them in a big tub and there are lots of flowers now of many colours. They're not as big as those you get from the big tubers but I think they've given a wonderful show for the price of a packet of seeds. Some of them are like little pom-poms, others have big flat petals and one even has spiky flowers. Today they've been covered in bees and a few butterflies (that fluttered off as I got near with the camera).
