Windflower

Who knew............that the name anemone comes from the Greek word for "windflower." According to Greek mythology, the anemone sprang from Aphrodite's tears as she mourned the death of Adonis. Thought to bring luck and protect against evil, legend has it that when the anemone closes its petals, it's a signal that rain is approaching.........so there you have it!

A white anemone from our garden is todays flower for BikerBears Flower Friday challenge.

We scored highly at the quiz last night, got very excited as we were sure we'd feature top three.....how wrong!!! Winners scored 112 of 114 and joint runners up scored 110, only one and two questions wrong respectively.....made our 104 seem average..one of these days!!! Good fun though, enjoyed the adult company :-)

Slept pretty well last night, struggled to get off for an hour, think my brain was still whizzing from the quiz!! Woke up refreshed though, then walked into town, bit of shopping, got my holiday toes on, hub went for a coffee whilst he waited for me ;-)

Had a lovely feta, tomato, red onion and olive salad for lunch, hub had a ham sandwich ;-) not a fan of feta or olives, mad fool!!

The afternoon has been taken up with stuff for our break away, hubs got the cases from the loft........I did some laundry in between too.

Think its soy and ginger flavoured salmon, with stir fried veg and noodles for dinner this evening and then a chilled night catching up on tv that we missed whilst we had our granddaughter here :-)
