Sissinghurst

A whistle stop tour of Sissinghurst today - squeezed it in between leaving Sussex and picking eldest up from the Eurotunnel. Long drive home on the M25 but we beat the bank holiday traffic.

If you know Sissinghurst - what's the best time of year to go? The Japanese anemones were spectacular but the white garden had just about gone over. A few spots of cosmos were special & the hot beds were hanging on, but I got the impression I'd arrived a bit late and missed the main event?
