New arrivals.

You know that Summer is nearing its end when the Geese start to return from their Northern holidays.

They often come into land at this point. Just off picture to the right is the place where the Rivers Kent and Bela merge to form the estuary. It is a favourite place for gulls which are here all year.

A delightful walk this morning from Beetham through the parkland of Dallam Tower. Then along the banks of the Bela.

The house itself is a Grade 1 listed building now almost 300 years old.
The rolling parkland is well known for its Fallow Deer.
The extra shows that my path took me near to them.
