This little casting, and it’s surrounds, have occupied me for the last 2 days. Scrubbing, scraping, sanding, stripping …. and we’re nearly there! It’s a cast iron fireplace with decades of paint, layer upon layer, and now we’re beginning to see details we never knew we're there. So a quick bank holiday decorating job has expanded. The picture should have been better but I'm done in!
