A Purple White Meldon

Morning bike ride was down to the Scottish Borders. Out via Auchendinny, Mount Lothian, Eddleston and the Meldons. The heather was out in force on the Meldons, turning White Meldon very purple. As I descend the hill, the brackenon NW slopes is turning yellow, a sign that autumn is on the way.

The ride back was along the Lyne Valley to Romannobridge, Bogs Bank, West Linton, the Moor Road and Penicuik. Total distance, 81.97km, 50.9mi.

After lunch, I went down to Stockbridge, I bought a couple of books on photography from charity shops and of course, the all important afternoon coffee.
