Three old ladies!

My wife was shocked when I burst into the kitchen yesterday announcing that I had three old ladies in my moth trap. It's the first time I've caught old lady, Mormo maura, one of the larger UK moths, approaching the size of some of the hawkmoths. I tried to get them to pose together, but they just would not do it. The weather is perfect for trapping at the moment and I had a number of other garden firsts yesterday.
