Getting Up Steam

Our Bank Holiday excursion was a trip on the Shakespeare Express, a restored steam train running on a circular route from Stratford-on-Avon to Birmingham Snow Hill and back. We treated ourselves and had lunch on the train, in one of the Pullman carriages - great way to spend the afternoon.
Ironically, there were major engineering works taking place on the mainline out of Euston, so probably our train was one of the few services running to time on that part of the rail network today!
