A Glimpse……….

………………….of Sunshine

Rarangi Beach, Marlborough, NZ

The day dawned with a dark threatening sky and intermittent gentle misty showers followed by occasional bursts of blue sky and sunshine. Overnight and early hours of the morning we experienced very heavy rainfall.

After a leisurely start, we left our accommodation to start our journey - many photos later we have finally made it home to Motueka.

Rarangi Beach was in darkness when we finally arrived yesterday so today we returned, via the more direct route to see it during daylight hours. As you can see, it’s another stoney beach and seemingly stretches for miles. This was taken looking south towards Blenheim.

I have included several extra photos giving a brief overview of our day.
1 - Pukeko enjoying breakfast from a puddle
2 - Waikawa in morning light
3 - Rarangi Beach looking towards Port Underwood
4 - Nelson in misty evening conditions
5 - Spring in Nelson’s historical Wakapuaka Cemetery
6 - Swan and cygnet. More signs of spring near Motueka.

Another very big thank you for your continued comments, stars and hearts. I also appreciate that so many of you took the time to look back at the previous day’s photo which was also uploaded yesterday.
