Happy Hippo

It has been a pretty grey and drizzly day, at least since I got out of bed, and I can't be bothered so the only solution is to dig out some old photographs that were rescued from the great clear out by my father after my mother died. The main picture is the  brother and his flotation aid on holiday in Scarborough and the extra is three generations on the traditional summer Sunday jaunt down the coast to Seamill in Ayrshire. Both were taken in the early 60's when the sun always seemed to shine and the grandparents were probably the same age I am now.

They seemed so ancient way back then...
