Bank holiday weekend

What do you do on a bank holiday weekend? Time to go and see mother.

Here she is. Built in 1917 and this one has had a bit of a history, but ended up in the tank museum at Bovington.

I haven't been here for 30 years or so and it has graduated from a large shed full of tanks, to several massive sheds with very smart tank displays and a parade ground and tank assault course. What a fab day out!

The extra is a Renault FT17. 2697 of these were built in 1917, but the war ended and few saw action. It was the most advanced light tank of the time and they were sold all over the world at the end of the war. I think it has the look of a classic steam-punk tank.
