simple, pure, elegant

words which easily describe this lovely flower - as i gazed at it - i was reminded of being wrapped in a robe - safe & secure because sometimes don't we all have - a desire to feel that way? - that nothing will be able to break through to destroy - anything we've built around us

it made me think of all the people who are currently suffering - the indescribable horrors of hurricane harvey - the rebuilding which will have to take place - years of treasure gone in a flash - the tenacity that will be required to do it all over again - but seeing this lily - also gave me hope - due to the fact we humans don't give up - we always get back up after tragedy - shake ourselves off, square our shoulders - set our jaws with determination and get after it because we know wallowing - will get us nowhere - however, moving forward one step at a time - will inevitably lead to...
