Artistic Red

Despite the rather miserable weather in late afternoon/early evening, it was warm, dry and clear, with just enough breeze to blow away the smoke, and great conditions for the end of festival fireworks in Princes Street Gardens. We were treated to an extra 1st stage with Karen Matheson singing at the Ross Bandstand. For the first time ever, we managed to hop on an empty bus at the top of Leith Walk, instead of having to walk all the way home.

Of course,I read tips about how to take photos of fireworks after the event and used (mostly) the wrong settings. Must be one of the most difficult things to photograph well. At least I got some red for this week's challenge.
