Butterfly Collage

On today's walk I counted well over a dozen Speckled Woods. Photographed so many of them that I decided to create a collage of a few of my pics. (A tricky process, by the way: it's really hard selecting antennae!) In between counting and snapping butterflies, I was picking blackberries. Another crumble in the offing ...!

It's been terribly hot today - really humid - but the weather's on the turn. By evening, a wind had got up and the air had turned a lot cooler and the sky had clouded over. Ah well - it's been nice while it lasted.
