Canadian adventure

We hired a car and drove out to Drumheller today
An amazing place just northeast of Calgary . We went for a walk to get orientated in downtown and sitting at the lights was this burnt out tanker on a trailer. Not an everyday sight so it had to be my blip.
I could have chosen any number of fab geological shots as we stopped at Horseshoe canyon on the way. I have added one on the extra
Drumheller is situated in the Badlands which is a dry arid area giving up dinosaur Skelton ,teeth, bones and even whole dinosaurs . The baby woolly mammoths in the natural history museum was found here and is on loan to London. It was an inland ocean many thousands of years ago and is a palenologists delight. Tomorrow we are going to the royal tyrell museum.
