Isafjordur

Backblip

Our next port in Iceland was Isafjordur where we landed by tender in a very calm and beautiful bay. We had no tour booked (it gets too much to have a tour at each port) so we walked into the town in the morning. There's a beautiful still lake with perfect reflections and a small number of nice shops. There was a museum, but we didn't visit as it was rather swamped by visitors from the ship. Having decided yesterday not to buy a jumper at £200-£250, today I bought a kit to knit one myself with the Icelandic wool included, after I'd checked the pattern was in English!!! I've also included more photos in a 'postcard' in Extras
