Carsington

I quite like the Carsington Water circular route, it's relatively close to where I live, easy to park, not totally flat, changing views, a reasonable length (8 miles) and with the option of a pub stop in the village of Hopton half way round... although I didn't do that today!

There were plenty of cyclists going round too - and in fact walkers and cyclists share quite a bit of the route - but why can't all cyclists let walkers know that they're coming?  Some are very good and either ring their bell or call out "coming past on your left!"  Others just assume we know they're approaching, but sometimes we don't.

p.s. I think I should go on that Grumpy Old Women programme... or maybe Room 101 :-)
