Swing bridge in action

The Craft and Music Fair closed at 2.00pm, and in under half the allotted time MrM and I had packed away the stall and instruments, and loaded everything in to the car. After saying goodbye to friends, we went back up to the caravan to take down the tent that Angus had used, tidy up a bit, and re-pack the car to make room for a comfortable space for Louie.

Then we walked in to Whitby the long way round, partly to get something to eat but mostly and partly to linger there a little longer. We met several friends who were doing the same thing! As we walked past the swing bridge, it opened to let the Chieftain and several smaller boats out of the harbour.

Eventually set off for home just before 8.00pm, and it was an easy journey back...
