What makes a good neighbour? Liverpool Biennial, in partnership with the 15th Istanbul Biennial, brings an international billboard project to sites across Liverpool and Manchester. Realised in collaboration with cultural institutions from across the world, the project takes a good neighbour, the title of the upcoming Istanbul Biennial curated by Elmgreen & Dragset, as its starting point. The billboards display a carefully curated selection of photographs by Lukas Wassmann in collaboration with Rupert Smyth that capture unexpected encounters and ask questions about the concept of 'good neighbour'.
