King Laurin's Pad

Legend has it that King Laurin lived here, that the mountain is a labarynth of tunnels and treasure. He and his fellow dwarf subjects lived in idyllic dwarfdom. Until...he heard and saw the nearby princess Smilide, presumably not a dwarf but beautiful to his eyes non the less. Having tried to respectfully woo her, he was laughed at, presumably for his shortness it would seem, so he just abducted her. When rescue arrived 6 years later she told her deliverers that the dwarves had been respectful, that she had many rooms and treasures (and presumably endless wardrobes of shoes), the implication was thanks guys, but I'm staying put. I presume King Lauren was relieved having heightened the ceilings of his palace to accomodate the tall lass. The dwarf guys and the warriors then ate a lot of food and got outrageously drunk.

What's all that about? so many moral and ethical questions. Me, I just like the view.

Tomorrow catching the bus to the other side and hiking back over the range, promise to blip the little people if they let me.
