Time

There is never enough time and sometimes it is nice to have a clock like this. It is silent and still, not rushing me by constantly showing me time passing by with a swinging pendulum and the hands marking the minutes and hours.

I think it is beautiful and it is a gift from my parents. It needs adjustment and servicing right now but I don't mind.

I grew up with a wealth of clocks as my Dad collected them. I love the full size Grandfather clocks with their beautiful deep chimes on the hour and the half hour. We also had an elaborate carved wall clock but I have always liked this simple wooden clock.
