Guillemot

I don't remember seeing Guillemots in Perth before, and to me they are something exotic, associated with island holidays on the west coast. Perhaps they have come inland to shelter from the bad weather.

There were twenty or so, mostly in groups of three or four, spread out across the river and swimming steadily against the current to hold a fixed position. Occasionally one would dip its head into the water, and I saw one dive, but they didn't seem to be feeding.
