Garden Harvest

It's nearly garden harvest time,
where self-sown seeds have blown:
a mini wheat field by the wall
shows four ripe heads have grown.

They wouldn't make a bag of flour,
were I to grind each seed,
but maybe they will play their part
in giving birds a feed.

Actually, it's more likely that a visiting pigeon delivered one seed than that any were wind-blown - poetic licence! (Probably not wheat, either!)
