Young and Beautiful

Newly fledged robins are to my mind, very attractive. They haven't yet got the bright orange-red plumage that goes right up over their eyes, but a rich speckly tawny brown colouring on their heads. On this one you can just see the orange peeping through and yet there is still a sign of the yellow gape in the corner of its beak from its days in the nest.
