Well, we wanted to make this a round-trip, going from here along a ridge and then back to where we came from, but as the hike up proved to be difficult and the path hard to find in the snow and with all those sharp boulders around, we were sensible. Doing the ridge would have obviously been foolish. So the Balmer Grätli at 2218 m it was, then we turned round, planning to be very careful so that nobody gets hurt. 

Well, little Djeili got distracted by three Chamois, jumping madly and headless over stones and snow. She got back fast when called, but then I saw the blood. So much blood. Gushing from her front right paw, and it wouldn't stop bleeding for 30 min. We headed back much faster than planned, already thinking about carrying her if she gets too weak etc, but in the end it stopped bleeding. A long gash in the big pad of the paw, vet gave her an injection, pills to take the next 5 days, and disinfecting cream. She is wearing a colorful sock now ;) 

So all turned out OK, only my wallet feels 250 CHF lighter now.
