Saracen and Ring

Our village is short of pubs, and it is all down to one woman, Mrs Christie. She lived here in the late nineteenth century and she belonged to the Temperance movement. She set about buying all the pubs and turning them into houses! She built a Temerance Hotel as compensation! The cottage in the blip was once a pub called The Saracen and Ring but it was closed by Mrs C in the 1890s and has been a pretty cottage ever since.
I turned out old papers today, they should have gone long ago. I jammed up the shredder and put a great weight of paper in the recycling bin.
