OUR HÔTEL DE VILLE...

...is getting its face sand-blasted  by MSC - Monument Stability Contractor.

My cynical old nose is getting a whiff of rats & backhanders & "pots de vin". MSC is certainly in no hurry to carry out the work - took them over a week to put up the scaffolding.

I hope they finally do a decent job because it's a fine old building & patently stable. Took this on the way downtown - & on the way back there was this (extra) gentleman digging up the lawn - I love his white waistcoat, his black plus-fours & the fluorescent colours of his black plumage - all the same he's one of my least favourite birds.

Hate the buggers!
