Caves and dinasour prints

A great day out today, visited the Grutas de Mire de Aire, caves, they were 110 feet deep and 685 steps! The pictures don't do it justice but if you zoom in you can see people so gives some scale. Fantastic experience.

Then we went to natural Monument of dinasour footprints.
The footsteps were made by a sauropod dinosaur during the Middle Jurassic period - 175 million years ago. The sauropod has a heavy body, a long tail, a small head and a very long neck, they weighed 70 tons. The tracks are significant because they are the oldest and longest set yet to be found. It was awesome as you could walk via a roped area alongside the actual footprints, a long walk round the perimeter but so worth it.

Then for a late lunch before driving back via cafe central in Amendoa:

Quick dip in the pool to cool off when back!
