Arbeit Macht Frei

Yesterday was an emotionally intense day. T and I toured the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. for much of the day, a goal I've had since the last time we visited and did not have time. I took a number of photos inside the museum, then some more cheerful shots walking across the sunny National Mall afterwards. The museum is very well done, and a powerful reminder of how badly men and women can treat their brothers and sisters.  The sun afterwards was very welcome.  This is a photo of the shadow cast by a cast reproduction of the sign over the gate to Auschwitz. The sun outside was a relief, as was in a different way the service we attended at my brother's church.
